Richard has over 10 years’ practice experience advising domestic clients and multinationals on a variety of corporate and commercial transactional work including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures.

He advises on structuring, setting up as well as compliance requirements for companies in Fintech, TMT, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare sectors.

Richard has made presentations at local conferences as well as authored published articles, most recently the Kenyan chapter of the Comparative Guide to Fintech.

  • Acting for a local supermarket chain in its acquisition of various supermarkets in Nyandarua, Meru and Nakuru Counties.
  • Successfully representing a media company in the precedent-setting Digital Migration Case before the Supreme Court. The case ushered the migration from analog broadcasting to digital broadcasting in Kenya resulting in rapid growth in the TV broadcast industry.
